Creator of ZFS leaves Oracle
Jeff Bonwick, creator of ZFS and head of the ZFS team announced he's leaving Oracle and starting an own business. He states he enjoyed working for Sun and later for Oracle. Somehow I only believe in the first part. There were more high profile engineers leaving, including Java creator James Gosling, as well as several thousands anonymous employees laid off. But this time it's personal. For me, ZFS is the single reason to choose Solaris over other operating systems.
